How Friday Pit works
Friday Pit is a free browser auto battler. Each round you shop a scrap crew, leftover Scrap becomes Pit Charge that snipes their front, then boards fight automatically. Matches are best of three. Guests practice against AI. No account required.
The match
- Best of 3 rounds. First to 2 round wins takes the match.
- If round wins are tied after 3, play sudden-death round 4. First round win there ends the match.
- Practice aims for almost no match draws.
A round
- Shop — spend Scrap on bots and food. Set fight order.
- Pit Charge — unspent Scrap becomes Charge. The pit snipes the enemy front.
- Auto battle — fronts trade damage until one side clears.
The board
- Up to 3 bots. Left = front (fights first).
- Bought bots and permanent gains stay between rounds.
- Temporary fight buffs clear after the battle.
The shop
- Every shop starts at 10 Scrap. Unspent Scrap does not carry to the next shop.
- Offers: 3 bots and 1 food.
- Reroll costs 1 Scrap (replaces all offers and the food).
- Sell refunds 1 Scrap (no sell abilities in MVP).
- You need at least one bot to end the shop.
| Tier | Cost | Appears from |
|---|---|---|
| Junk | 3 | Round 1 |
| Welded | 4 | Round 2 |
| Tuned | 5 | Round 3 |
| Primed | 6 | Round 3 |
Rival Peek (optional): once per shop, pay 1 Scrap to see the rival's board for this round only.
Pit Charge (the twist)
- When you end the shop:
Charge = min(5, unspent Scrap). Scrap above 5 is wasted. - At battle start, before start-of-fight kits: deal Charge damage to the enemy front bot.
- If that bot faints from the snipe, normal faint rules apply, then start kits fire.
- If Charge is 0, there is still a short Pit Charge beat with an empty meter, then the fight.
- Charge does not carry between rounds.
Overcharge: If you end shop with 6 or more unspent Scrap, choose:
- Safe — Charge 5 (normal cap).
- Overcharge — Charge 6 snipe. 50% chance your own front then takes 2 damage (can faint).
Skill is leaving Scrap for the snipe versus spending on buy, reroll, food, or Peek.
Food
Feed costs 3 Scrap. One food offer per shop.
| Food | Effect |
|---|---|
| Ember | +1 ATK and +1 HP permanently |
| Chili | +2 ATK this fight only (from round 2+) |
| Coolant | +3 HP this fight only |
| Sock | On faint: summon a 1/1 Spark |
| Torch | Start of fight: deal 1 to enemy front |
| Chain Rag | On faint: deal 2 to enemy front |
- Chili and Coolant replace each other on the same bot.
- Only one faint-tag (Sock or Chain Rag) per bot. A later one replaces the earlier.
- Ember stacks with anything.
- A second copy of the same food is refused at no cost.
- Spark has no kit.
The battle
- Automatic. Start kits fire, then front bots hit at the same time (damage equals the other's attack).
- At 0 HP a bot faints and the next steps up.
- Empty board loses the round.
- Cap 40 exchanges, then use the round-winner ladder below.
Round winner (anti-draw)
- Side with bots left wins.
- Mutual wipe same exchange → higher damage dealt this round wins.
- Still tied → higher total attack on the starting board this round.
- Still tied → higher total max HP on the starting board.
- Still tied → sudden-death exchanges (up to 3), then practice favors the player seat if still deadlocked.
Practice mode
- Guests play against AI boards only.
- No account. No Elo. No rated ghosts in MVP.
